Florida real estate license lookup API
Lisense is a read-only REST API over Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) license data, rebuilt weekly from the official bulk extracts. If you need to look up a Florida real estate license — by name, license number, county, or rank — this guide shows the calls.
Search by name
Filter licensees by name, city, county, exact rank, license number, and license-issue date range. At least one filter is required.
curl "https://api.lisense.dev/api/v1/search?name=smith&rank=SL%20Sales%20Associate" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer fl_live_..."
Search by county and rank
Pull every broker in a county, or every sales associate licensed in a date range — the building block of a recruiting list.
curl "https://api.lisense.dev/api/v1/search?county=St.%20Lucie&rank=BK%20Broker" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer fl_live_..."
Look up one license number
A bare license number returns every matching record, fully populated; the canonical license ID form resolves to exactly one.
curl "https://api.lisense.dev/api/v1/verify/1003371" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer fl_live_..."
What the data is — and isn't
Every response carries an as_of date: the weekly DBPR bulk extract it came from. Expect up to about a week of staleness — the API tells you exactly how old the data is instead of pretending otherwise. This is public-record data, not a live portal scrape.
Send a descriptive User-Agent with scripted requests; generic script user-agents are blocked at the edge even with a valid key.
