Terms of Use
Last updated: October 8, 2026.
1. The service
Lisense provides a searchable index of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) license data through a web dashboard and an API.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and API keys confidential — API keys are shown once at creation, so store them securely.
3. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully. Don't abuse it: no circumventing quotas or rate limits, no scraping the dashboard to bypass the API, no reselling the service as your own, and no activity that degrades the service for others.
4. Data freshness
License data comes from DBPR's official weekly bulk extracts and can be up to about a week old. Every API response and dashboard view is stamped with its snapshot date ("as of"). The data is a copy of a public record — it is not legal advice and not a consumer report.
5. Quotas and rate limits
Each plan includes a monthly record quota. When it's exhausted, API calls return HTTP 429 until the next month. Abusive traffic may be throttled or blocked.
6. No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the data is complete, current, or error-free.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lisense isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the service at any time.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
